Who are at risk of COVID19?

2 min read

With unprecedented times prevailing in terms public health, it is quite natural that there’s a lot of information or misinformation floating around. Commoners are often left confused and even dead-scared as to who all can get afflicted.

Govt. of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare website guidelines as indeed many medical journals point to some specific section of the populace to be at the most risk of being infected with the deadly virus.

The reports so far along with currently identified incidences and patterns point to people with a history of sinus, asthma, or any respiratory issues are at high risk.

That being said, this is no time to panic and, potentially, lower your immunity. Rather, let us all pull together our resolve and fight it. Together.

Given the prevailing anxiety, it is plausible that we may fall prey to the apprehension of being infected with Corona Virus, when in truth we may just be suffering from common / seasonal occurrences like cold, frequent sneezing, or sinus.

In which case, let us suggest some remedies to help you.

For cold/ frequent sneezing/ sinus:

  • Pour 1 or 2 drops of ghee through both nostrils (like you do with nasal drops) daily at bedtime. And/Or,
  • Steam inhalation by adding ½ tsp of turmeric and pepper powder each to the (steaming) water. And/Or,
  • Eating jaggery (a small piece- size of a medium-sized lemon) 4-5 times a day.

Remedy for shortness of breath / asthma:

  • Eat jaggery (a small piece- size of a medium-sized lemon) 4-5 times a day. And/Or,
  • Take 1tbsp of honey, add ½ tsp of mustard seed powder and have it daily on empty stomach. And/Or,
  • Add a pinch of turmeric and pepper powder each to the honey and have it.
  • Do not drink water for about 10-15 minutes after having any of the suggested ingredients of the remedy.

We’d love to hear from you about your experience of our site, as indeed any suggestions or comments that you may have. Share your thoughts with us via the comments section (given below).
